A word from your guide
Hi, everyone! I’m Benjamin, and I was born in Marseille. I was lucky enough to grow up in one of the most diverse regions in the world, and I’m truly passionate about showing you why: its history, its landscapes, its cuisine, its heritage, and its way of life—that famous “dolce vita” of the South.
Come with me to discover what the good life in the South of France is really all about and its countless wonders. As a Marseille expert, I’ll always be happy to give you as many recommendations as possible to help you make the most of the rest of your stay in the region!
I love connecting with people from different cultures and meeting folks from all walks of life. I’d also be delighted to introduce you to all the warmth and hospitality of the Mediterranean!
I primarily offer culinary tours of Marseille that let you discover the authentic Provençal Mediterranean street food of France’s oldest city, as well as its history.
Description of your future experience
I invite you to join me on a culinary and cultural tour through the heart of Marseille, where you’ll explore the city center, its history, its iconic landmarks, and its many local stories. As a guide who’s 100% from Marseille, I’ll help you discover the city through an authentic and passionate perspective.
Throughout the tour, we’ll stop at several local shops to sample nearly ten typical specialties from Provence and the Mediterranean. On the agenda: local flavors, Southern French street food, a tasting of regional rosé, and, of course, the famous Marseille pastis.
We’ll also enjoy a very brief picnic in front of one of the city’s most iconic landmarks before continuing our exploration through Marseille’s main sites and neighborhoods. Along the way, I’ll also introduce you to the history and rules of pétanque, a traditional game that’s a must-try in Provence.
The tour will end in Le Panier, Marseille’s oldest neighborhood and one of the oldest in France. There, we’ll explore its charming narrow streets, its hidden gems, and some of its street art.
Vegetarians are welcome!
To wrap up this experience, I’ll give you a little souvenir from Provence to take home with you!
