Hello Meet People community, I'm Julie, passionate about nature, mountains, and Corsica, so come and discover these Corsican treasures during a walk, hike... From sunrise to sunset, or just a few hours strolling through the forest discovering plants and birds, listening to stories and legends from our shepherds and learning about local and rural heritage, identifying plants and learning what they were used for, taking part in a treasure hunt or a scavenger hunt, or even a hike in a joelette with a person with reduced mobility: an extraordinary human adventure! I also organize tailor-made treks lasting several days: discovering the GR20 but also, and above all, exceptional variations and off-trail routes. And I'm in Corsica all year round, so in winter it's snowshoeing, searching for avalanche victims with a device, and descending in a cuculuge. In short, there's something for all tastes and paces, so don't hesitate!
Description of your future experience
WINTER VERSION Corsica with your feet in the snow and a view of the sea: come and put on your snowshoes at the Val d'Ese Station (1,622 m) to tackle Punta di a Cuperchiata (1,939 m) and Monte Giovanni (1,945 m), depending on the weather, snow conditions, and snow science, with a splendid view of the sea and the Gulf of Ajaccio. We will test out snow tubing and, if the snow is good, there are some great slopes to hurtle down :) On each outing, we will use avalanche victim search equipment to learn how to use it, understand its purpose and how it works. As we progress, I will explain how to read and choose a route and show you different techniques for using your snowshoes effectively depending on the terrain.
