Hello Meet People community, I'm Julie, passionate about nature, mountains, and Corsica, so come and discover these Corsican treasures during a walk, hike... From sunrise to sunset, or just a few hours strolling through the forest discovering plants and birds, listening to stories and legends from our shepherds and learning about local and rural heritage, identifying plants and learning what they were used for, taking part in a treasure hunt or a scavenger hunt, or even a hike in a joelette with a person with reduced mobility: an extraordinary human adventure! I also organize tailor-made treks lasting several days: discovering the GR20 but also, and above all, exceptional variations and off-trail routes. And I'm in Corsica all year round, so in winter it's snowshoeing, searching for avalanche victims with a device, and descending in a cuculuge. In short, there's something for all tastes and paces, so don't hesitate!
Description of your future experience
Come on, I'll take you on a walk through a magnificent forest of Larici pines, the local endemic black pines that are so tall they were used to make ship masts, to a summit with unobstructed views overlooking the Gulf of Porto Vecchio and even Sardinia, a 360° view where you can see the sea on three sides, the lakes of Ospedale and Ortolo, the villages of Alta Rocca, and the famous Bavella peaks. It's a 4.5 to 10 km route depending on the group's level, with an elevation gain of +/-150 m to 400 m.
What you will see and taste: a panoramic summit with views of the sea and the highest peaks, a magnificent forest of Larici pines, two lakes: Ortolo to the west and Ospedale to the east, and a picnic of local products and specialties.
