A word from your guide
Hello, I'm Lola, a visual artist passionate about art and nature. The words that define me are curiosity, creativity, and sharing! Thirty years ago, while studying art, I trained with an artist in making plant-based paper. This training completely changed my artistic practice and my work, and allowed me to combine my two passions: art and nature.
After years of personal research, I want to pass on this technique through workshops and courses, and help you discover the diversity and richness of the nature that surrounds us, so that you can make paper and creations with plants from your environment, while fully respecting them.
Description of your future experience
Have you always wanted to learn the secrets of making plant-based paper? Join me for a 2.5-hour immersion in a world of creativity during an introductory workshop on this technique at my studio in Seine-et-Marne.
You’ll discover the magic of plants and the incredible properties of these plant fibers, and you’ll create unique and original pieces using this 100% natural material—which you can frame or use in other DIY projects.
Various plants and fibers will be available for your plant-based creations (examples of plants vary by season: flax, banana, grasses, daffodils, rushes, irises, hemp, lily of the valley, ginkgo, ferns…)
You’ll take home the leaves you’ve made (to finish drying at home).
Materials provided: plant fiber pulp from 4 to 5 plants (varies by season), tray, sieve, sponge, fabric
