Hello, I’m Cécilia, founder of Les Échappées de Cécilia. I love sharing my curiosity about the Île-de-France region and its hidden treasures!

As a passionate hiker, I’ll take you along my trails to help you discover a region that has everything it takes to amaze you ✨️

Description of your future experience

Just 40 minutes from Paris, I’ll take you on an idyllic adventure at the gateway to the Chevreuse Valley. A true micro-adventure that will take you along the trails of the charming town of Bures-sur-Yvette before you get to experience a moment high above the ground (literally!) on the Viaduc des Fauvettes, a former railroad bridge that’s now a greenway.

This mini-hike is 8 km long. It’s a loop: starting and ending in Bures-sur-Yvette (RER B).

Schedule (approximate times):

9:00 a.m.: Meet at Châtelet-les-Halles, RER B platform

9:45 a.m.: Arrival at the Bures-sur-Yvette train station. Start of the mini-hike.

1:00 p.m.: End of the hike at the Bures-sur-Yvette train station.

What to bring:

💧2L of water

🥾 sneakers (no tennis shoes or dress shoes)

🥪 your picnic lunch and snacks

Les Échappées de Cécilia offers nature experiences less than 2 hours from Paris, with hikes that are 100% accessible by public transportation. My routes are carefully designed to combine a change of scenery with comfort and to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere ;)
