A word from your guide
Hi, I'm Ludo, and except for January in the mountains, you'll always find me by the ocean or in the woods! I love teaching and learning, especially when it comes to fall, woodworking, metalworking, and low-tech projects. I have a surf spot just a 10-minute bike ride from the workshop—you can check out the crêperie right next door if you head to the water after we meet.
Description of your future experience
We’ll start with a piece of log, and I’ll teach you all the techniques, step by step, for shaping a rough-hewn bowl with a hatchet and then turning it with hooks (a medieval technique). Along the way, we’ll look out at the sea if the view is clear, have a laugh, and feed the donkeys—who’ll definitely come begging for it, you can be sure! We’ll work outdoors if the weather permits; otherwise, we’ll set up under a shed. No prior experience is required, but the workshop can also be adapted for those with woodworking experience.
