Do you dream of leaving your everyday life behind, buying a sailboat, and sailing around the world—but is that really right for you?

I invite you to test out your dream aboard a cruising yacht. Not a typical, unequipped rental boat, but a true round-the-world yacht—a prestigious Amel!

With AIS, solar panels, 1,000 liters of water, and 500 liters of fuel, this isn’t a boat meant for a trip around the bay! It’s already got a few transatlantic crossings under its belt. Over these two days, you’ll truly take the helm as skipper. You’ll set your own itinerary and navigate based on the weather, sea conditions, and your experience. I’ll accompany you during this immersive experience to share my experience of living year-round aboard a sailboat by explaining the key aspects of a cruising vessel: which model to choose, how to equip it, the formalities involved in a nomadic lifestyle, and the constraints regarding safety, communication, and health. We’ll have two days or more to cover all these topics. This will allow you to experience the first two days of your round-the-world voyage just a 4-hour TGV ride from Paris, choosing to sail either offshore or along the coast of the Basque Country.

Please note: sailing experience is required, as you’ll be the boat’s captain.
